Texts to translate

Hi - I'm wondering if there's any good books or resources with very short texts that go from extreme beginner to advanced. I'm learning Gaelic and would love a short text to translate every so often, almost like comprehension in primary school.

First week with the S9

I just have the basic 18-45 lens it comes with. Saving up for another lens but probably will be next year. Any photo advice to get better welcome! I'm a total beginner to photography.

Penpals

Anyone learning Gaidhlig and interested in being snail mail penpals? Or proficient in Gaidhlig even. I used to love sending letters when I was learning other languages as a teenager and think it would be great. I'm doing the Ann cùrsa inntrigidh course this year.

Some of the male fans on this sub Reddit are really toxic

The level of aggression, negativity and misogyny in discussions here is really shocking. One of the central premises of the show is sexism and patriarchy, yet the way the female characters are discussed is often disgusting. In a quick scroll through a few posts I've seen 3 of the female main characters described as 'bitches' often, and the general consensus is that screen time for the women is taking away from all the fun dragon drama or men fighting.

The general negativity about everything is also astounding. Not every episode is as gripping as ones like S3E2, yes, but the complicated relationships between all the characters need time to explore. I would enormously recommend the Ryan Arey Screencrush videos on YouTube on each episode - they look at all the relationships and how the series compares to the books and why things might be different, or mean certain things. Or even take the time to read the books maybe?

The female show fandom is much more wholesome, mostly as we are all busy obsessing over Matt Smith or Emma D'Arcy....but also because we are not having tantrums about everything. Grow up, so many of you are a bunch of Aegons - having fits about things, whining, and being horrible about women.
