For the monthly Banana Fish challenge, I had planned this post for the first day! A little text message conversation between Ash and Shorter! I have the posts for the other days on my Instagram account, but I might post one or two of them here.
Hello :).
I made some Magic cards featuring Amber Glenn, and she reposted them on her Story! If you check the post today, it’s still there :).
There are several other drawings on my Instagram too:

Feel free to comment or take a look, friends!
I still feel a little guilty about drawing her because I find it extremely intrusive, but… well, she often reposts fan art in her Stories, so I guess she’s at least somewhat comfortable with it (or maybe she just does it as part of her public image and I’m dying inside thinking I seem weird for drawing her 🫠).
And especially today, she posted my art haha. But since she doesn’t comment on it, I’m not really sure whether she’s actually okay with it or not. Like, does she genuinely appreciate it, or does it make her uncomfortable?
I know it might sound strange, but I honestly find drawing a real public person a bit intrusive. It’s the first time I’ve ever done it. But as a woman artist, I really wanted to highlight women — strong, athletic women who support the Queer community, who openly talk about periods and mental health. I want to draw more women and give visibility to women like that.
BUT… it’s really difficult to know whether the person actually likes it or not, or if they feel uncomfortable about it. Yes, I worry about consent even for a drawing… 🫠
Do you know if Amber ever replies to DMs sometimes?
Bonjour :).
