Confused about CHS

So I quit weed about 6 weeks ago because an ER doctor suggested CHS after I ended up in The ER with cyclical vomiting.

My primary care dosent think I have CHS. I haven’t had abdominal pain just some vomiting in the morning when I stand up, usually it happened 30 min or so after waking up, it’s never woken me up. And it’s never been daily puking.

So 6 weeks in here is how it’s going. Week one after quitting my appetite completely vanished. I felt sick constantly dizzy all the time and just couldn’t get food down. I switched to a liquid diet and started eating small portions more frequently and I have been able to build up some kind of appetite but not enough to meet my calorie needs. Still on liquids in the AM.

My vomiting was on a 3 week cycle that linked up with my period. I had 1 cycle about 2 weeks after quitting where I got migraines and massive nausea that I used Zofran to help control.

My symptoms started around February where I also noticed a neck kink so after quitting when everything got worse I got a physio. And now 2 weeks into that I feel fantastic. Still dizzy but I don’t have any nausea or vomiting this time around.

Nothing leads me to believe this was CHS. Zofran worked, hot showers worsened my symptoms, I didn’t have stomach pains and I didn’t have any improvement in symptoms until week 5 after seeing a physio.

I come from a family of weed smokers so beyond getting high this is a bonding thing with my family and I have FOMO. But the information is so confusing and one place it’s 4 weeks is a meaningful trial while the other is 3 months is the only way to know to even if you suspect CHS you should never smoke again. I don’t know what to do at this point because maybe im just in denial about it being CHS or maybe it was really something in my neck causing migraines. And the lack of research in CHS makes it really hard to get a straight forward answer.
