Leftist AI Slop

What's your guys take on leftist Youtubers that actively rail against Generative AI companies and their data centers. Only to then on other videos use AI to make there thumbnails/videos and share AI slop memes because it's making fun of the white house or some shit.

I ask because I have been noticing this trend lately and I think it's a harmful and dishonest thing to do. I've been unsubscribing from these content creators when they do this shit. But it seems to be a trend that is growing amongst leftist youtubers and I think that shit is rather problematic. What do you think?

Let's talk Donks

I don't mean to be the everything is racist type. But I've had a sitting thought for a while. You see I'm into cars and car culture always have been. One car subculture I haven't really been into are Donks. Saying that as a car person isn't a very hot take.

But one thing I've noticed is an almost visceral disgust with Donks and Donk culture.

And after seeing post after post video after video of people hating on Donks I've gotten a "rap isn't real music vibe" from it I can't shake. I don't think anyone is necessarily racist just for disliking Donks but the absolute disgust I see from some people is kind of pointing me in that direction.

While part of lowrider culture Donks are a predominantly black subculture. And like why is that a thing that deserves as much hate as it gets. Lifted cars with chrome wheels one could argue it being an eye sore or tacky but like so is a lot of other forms of car customization. And yet they do not get nearly the same level of hatred.

But then again lowriders and lowrider culture in general was created as a retaliation to an oppressive and racist government. Hence lowriders being associated with crime and gang culture.

But lowriders these days are rather beloved by most Americans and don't really carry the same negative condemnation as they have in the past.

But back to Donks. Why I believe there to be a troubling motivation behind the hatred Donks get is because like a lot of black culture that doesn't get appropriated and sold they are invalidated amongst the rest of the culture they are a part of. I don't think there's much of coincidence that most the people that are doing these kind of posts and videos are white by the way.

I'm a white Native American

I am Coos and am native to the coast of Oregon just as my ancestors. But my skin does not look like my ancestors skin. My skin is as white as any European. My skin is a permanent reminder of how this country's settlers invisioned this land.

My skin is from the assimilation and genocide of my people. They took our land and with it our culture. Our language is but a few words and our music is silent and forgotten. My tribe reconciled four decades ago but really what of my tribe is left we didn't even get to keep our skin.

This has happened to countless tribes some just a few strands of DNA in the blood of a family who doesn't even know it's there. I don't bring this up for pity or even as a look into America's troubled past but as a warning.

To me The Trail Of Tears is not just a historic tragedy that was an injustice to my people. But also it is an event that took place as part of a continuing movement all the way into today. Our country still treats this lands people horribly calling them illegal or aliens all because the decendents of the people that stole this land purposely chose to not document them. And with the current government this injustice has been amplified shoving them into camps, shooting them in the streets, stealing mothers, fathers and children regardless if they are documented or not.

With all that has happened in the past two years I can't help but be reminded of my people and how they were treated not to long ago. It's hard not to see the echoes.
