We hear you like swag

We hear you like swag

Two things we love are

  • Seeing the stories in how Chime has made an impact in your life!
  • Sending swag

We love how much excitement swag brings to this community, especially when it shows up as a surprise. Those moments are fun for everyone, and we want to keep that surprise-and-delight energy going.

The tricky part is that if we have to ask for details in the moment every time, it kind of spoils the surprise. So we’re putting together a simple interest form for anyone who wants to be considered for future swag opportunities. No purchase or account activity required. Recipients surprised based on community participation and engagement.

Filling out the form doesn’t guarantee anything, but it helps us be a little more prepared behind the scenes while keeping the fun of surprise swag intact.  And no worries if you’d rather not fill it out - we may still reach out in real time from time to time.

If you’re interested, fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/s9XprvUmCXtpqwbH6

Thanks for being part of what makes this community so great. 💚

June 2026 SSA/SSI/VA Early Deposits Calendar Megathread

June 2026 SSA/SSI/VA Early Deposits Calendar

Welcome! We love that the community gathers here each month to countdown to deposit day! Here you’ll find basic information and answers to frequently asked questions about Government Benefits Timing at Chime. We encourage you to use this space to chat with other members about deposits or pose any questions you may have to the community.

If you don’t see your deposit on the expected date based on the schedule, that means we haven’t received it, and our Member Services team won’t have any further information about when it will become available. We recommend allowing three additional business days before contacting the Social Security Administration.

All deposits are posted from Monday to Friday, except for bank holidays. If your deposit shows up on a bank holiday, it'll post the following business day.

Chime Confessional Member Story "Learning the Hard Way: My Credit Card Wake Up Call"

Last month we launched The Chime Confessional Series, a forum for members to share real financial experiences and hard-earned lessons while leaning on each other for real-life advice along the way.

Today, we’re sharing our first member story! In their own words:

“I got my first credit card when I was 18 and I had no idea what I was doing. I thought it was free money and didn’t understand interest, minimum payments, or the consequences of ignoring it. My family never used credit cards, so there was no guidance at home, and I didn’t get any financial literacy lessons anywhere else. I ignored the payment reminders and kept spending, and of course it all came crashing down. I ended up in collections, my credit score tanked by hundreds of points, and every time I tried to finance something I was told no. It took years to rebuild my credit, learn how to manage money, and finally feel like I was in control of my finances. That experience taught me to be smart with credit, to pay attention to the details, and to think twice before making financial decisions. I made a lot of mistakes as a young adult, but learning from them made me more responsible and finally able to live independently without constantly hitting roadblocks because of my past choices.

I learned the hard way that credit cards are not free money and that ignoring payments can impact your life for years. It taught me to pay attention, be patient, and actually understand how credit works—lessons I didn’t get growing up. I’m curious if others have had similar experiences and how you bounced back. What helped you rebuild your credit or get back on track financially? Are there tips you wish you knew when you were starting out that could’ve saved you headaches?”

Community Chronicles: the Official Source for new features, tests, and troubleshooting

Updated: [May 13, 2026]

We’re always working behind the scenes to make Chime simpler, safer, and more rewarding. This thread is a running log of what’s new, what we’re testing, and common questions we’re seeing — straight from the source.

We’ll update this regularly, so feel free to bookmark and check back.

What’s New in the Chime App

These features and updates are now available, or coming soon, to all members:

  • Chime Prime^(®)  - next-level membership for those with qualifying direct deposits, offering High-Yield 3.75% Savings APY and even more for Chime Card users like 5% cash back on your category of choice, premium travel perks, and more!
  • Chime Plus^(®) - receiving 3.00% Savings APY and 2% cash back on your category of choice
    • Now available for members with at least $400 in cumulative qualifying direct deposits in the last 34 days - no longer restricted to only a single deposit of $200+
  • Dispute Status notifications - now sent directly to your app inbox to stay in the loop
  • Planner - to easily manage your monthly bills and Spending Insights for a snapshot of where your money goes including by breaking down your expenses by category, merchant, and month

Features We’re Testing or Rolling Out Gradually

To keep improving, we sometimes test new features with a smaller group before considering wider availability. You may see discussions about these even if they’re not live for you yet. We’re actively reviewing feedback as we learn.

  • JADE - a new way to explore your spending built into our app - with insights tailored just for you. Ask questions, spot trends, and understand where your money is going, all in one place.

Troubleshooting Tips for common Chime issues

If something doesn’t look right, make sure your app is up to date. Logging out and back in — or reinstalling the app — often helps. We’ve also seen questions about:

  • Card details temporarily unavailable? This is often resolved by logging out/in or using another device

Direct Deposit Timing Megathread

Welcome to the weekly Direct Deposit Megathread!

We know many members are ready for their direct deposit at the same time every pay period so when something’s different, you come here to see if others are experiencing the same. To avoid repetitive posts, all discussions about direct deposit timing belong here.

Chime makes your paycheck available the same day we receive it, which means you might be able to access your hard-earned cash up to two days before your scheduled payday*. There are multiple digital stops your direct deposit makes before it reaches Chime so if your payment gets held up along the way, Chime may not receive your paycheck until your actual payday. Checkout details here How We Get (You) Paid Early

A reminder that Chime observes all federal and banking holidays so direct deposits may be delayed until the next business day Chime’s Holiday Schedule

Join us on Discord too for real-time conversation! https://www.discord.gg/chimefinancial

*Early access to direct deposit funds depends on the timing of the submission of the payment file from the payer. We generally make these funds available on the day the payment file is received, which may be up to 2 days earlier than the scheduled payment date.
