That one massive rock

It doesn't fit. Weirdly out of place. Always makes me think why it's there and how it got there. All rocks in the whole valley are so much smaller and that thing menacingly towers over everything. Not even that, even its color and structure is different from all other rocks in the area. And it has those weird black streaks look like tar is seeping through. Sure it could be excused as cracks but all other rocks have different textures of breaks and cracks and this one is just too fluid.

I know I'm really just overthinking and there is no lore or importance to it but whenever I trek through that area it often makes all those questions appear in my head.

MULE Camp near Capital

While combat may be fun in DS1 (personally I like its mechanics) I never find joy in beating up MULEs because they used to be porters hauling tones of cargo with necessities to people and helping them survive until prolonged exposure to chiral radiation eventually caught up to them. They had hopes and dreams of a better tomorrow and now are suffering a tragic fate, but seeing their camps gives a sense of camaraderie.

The area around ruined factory has a special place for me because of attention to detail and storytelling around this area even before you eventually get inside. You can come across it on your journey and it has this uneasy feeling around it that something tragic happened there, even before start uncovering the truth and the history of this place. It also looks old and you can see how the human traces are washing away with time and the nature is slowly reclaiming the terrain.

Eastern Region as relaxing as it'll ever be

Not sure if it's widely known but in the first mission when you have to go to the incinerator, instead of delivering the cargo you can leave it there and stray away from the objective and explore the entire map as much as you want, and your boots won't ever wear out. The world stands still, there is no timefall, no BTs, no MULEs. Nothing. Just vast emptiness and tranquil.

You have alerted the horde

I think I have alerted every BT nearby and it was almost terrifying hearing all those screams and seeing a horde of angry tar splashes chasing after.

One cheeky Hunter ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

While the Hunters are always trying to grab and drag Sam into the tar there is that one Hunter going for a cheek smack.

Capital Knot City

I find it fascinating how each Knot City is unique, beautiful and haunted in its own way and especially Capital Knot being surrounded by the past that's now just rotting away. Nice environmental storytelling.

Started another playthrough

This time had an idea to make it look like instant photos from the journey (and discovering the photo mode more in depth). Another layer of how utterly beautiful the world of Death Stranding is.

Almost like DS1

Close enough at least.

My favorite parts of Australia are the ones that resemble UCA. Australia is beautiful but at the same time makes me long for those Icelandic grays and greens and beautiful melancholic atmosphere in DS1.

Are you drunk, Santa?

I mean. I'm sure there is nighttime in some timezone but here it's middle of the day not even close to night time, so what is he doing here is he drunk?

Was just watching him to see if he dares to drop his presents.

Zipline betrayal

Somehow carrier got stuck on the zipline as I was getting off. I didn't expect that could even glitch like that. Normally I wouldn't have minded and would have just went to get a new carrier and sticky gun to retrieve the cargo but that was an express order. I didn't expect such betrayal from zipline.

Suspicious monorail coming out of F6

Seeing it in the wild is one thing but watching it emerge straight out of F6 is another. I don't even want to know what Pierre is doing with the Santa in there.

Gigas can do that?

At first I was bamboozled that Kheir can fly now? But then Gigas munched on it and did a voidout warp and white screen, so I thought oh well I may have to redo the order? I never really summoned Gigas before and I certainly didn't expect it can do voidout munchies on its fellow Catchers. Now I wish I summoned it more often. Also what an amazing callback to beginning of DS1 with that move.
