Restricted driving test Tawn Place

Hi everyone,

I’m sitting my restricted driver's test in two weeks (on June 24th) and I’m hoping to get some advice. I deal with a lot of anxiety in new situations and testing environments, so I’m trying to prepare as much as possible beforehand to help calm my nerves.

My partner has been teaching me and says my driving is good overall, but I definitely have a few weak spots. I really struggle with parallel parking, handling winding roads at higher speeds, and driving in the dark and under the rain.

I know I need to spend the next two weeks practicing those specific scenarios, but I’d love some tips on how to improve quickly.

If anyone has done their test recently, I’d also love to know:

What route did you get? I want to drive it a few times to get familiar with the area.

Are there any specific "trick" areas? Like tricky intersections, sudden speed limit changes, or hidden signs to look out for?

What parking maneuver did they ask you to do? (And if it was parallel parking, how forgiving were they?)

How do the testers usually handle the vibe in the car? Do they let you play the radio quietly, or is it strictly silent?

Any advice, tips for managing test anxiety, or local route info would be massively appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Help I snore. A lot, apparently

Sometimes it's bad enough that my boyfriend gives up and goes to sleep on the couch, and that honestly, makes me feel pretty bad because I don't really know how to fix it.

I have been trying to figure out what could be causing it. It could be that I'm overweight, I have a slightly deviated septum, or the fact that my tonsils have been elarged ever since I was a kid. I used to get tonsillities constantly, and they never went back to normal (one is bigger than the other). I'm not a mouth breather, which is why I'm a bit lost and confused about what's actually causing the snoring in the first place.

The problem is that I can't afford to see a doctor right now. I don't have health insurance, and paying for an appointment is not really an option at the moment.

So I was wondering if nasal strips are worth trying while I work on losing weigh. I would love to hear from anyone who's dealt with something similar.
