Looking for long term friendship I’m 27F

I am 27F Chinese, based in Southeast Asia (primarily Malaysia), and I work in the diving shop, scuba dive and free dive. That is why I have such a passion for diving, the ocean, and traveling.

However, for at least the next three months, I will be working from home. Due to the transient nature of my work, I rarely have the opportunity to form deep, meaningful connections with others. Even though I am an extrovert who loves making friends, I unfortunately still find myself feeling lonely.

Since my English isn't particularly strong, I’m quite keen on improving it. On top of that, working from home has caused my social circle to shrink significantly; sometimes, when I’m feeling down, I’ll have a drink—though I tend to get tipsy very easily.Time to meet some new friends to make myself better.

If you don't mind, feel free to chat with me. Although my English isn't perfect, I have no trouble with daily conversation.🥰

If you don’t mind can introduce yourself a little bit,and I don’t want to flirt…

Is that a kind of situationship?

Im 27 F Asian he’s 27 M European

We started chatting by chance through cat pictures on a chat community, and it's been over three months.

Because of our frequent chatting, about two weeks ago, I started to realize I really enjoyed talking to him, so I directly told him maybe I liked him? He replied that he did like me too.

This made our conversations feel strange, like we were crossing a line. Although we maintain ambiguous chats, my rational side tells me this might be unrealistic. I have plans to meet, and he said he'd like to come to Asia this year if conditions allow.

But when we discuss this, we both feel that the possibility of a good outcome for us seems extremely slim. I asked for his opinion, and he thinks we have a situational relationship, and he thinks I can date other people in my life, but should still maintain contact with him?

I wanted to give it the cold shoulder, but I'm still holding onto some hope? It's so frustrating… what should I do?

What an amazing experience today! I stayed one night in KL and was flying to Sabah today. While eating mixed rice, this guy came up to me and asked where I was going with such a big backpack. I said I was taking a Grab to KLIA2 to catch my flight, and he said the subway would be faster. I replied that I was worried about getting lost during the transfer, but he said he could take me to the transfer station, and then he just carried my backpack and left, even buying me a ticket! Before leaving, we added each other on WhatsApp. We chatted and I learned that he's an Arab-American, a factory owner in Kuala Lumpur. He thought I was a student who hadn't graduated yet, and because I looked small carrying such a big backpack, he assumed I was broke.

And common transport was amazing here in Kl
