My oven advertises 275°C (527°F) but drops to 240°C (464°F) after 10 minutes
So I've got a Bosch induction furnace (HLN39A050U) and I specifically bought it for baking pizza at high temps. The oven is rated to 275°C (527°F), I set it to 275°C, it gets there… and then after about 10 minutes it just drops back down to 240°C and stays there.
Turns out this is a "safety feature", which I only found out about buried in the fine print of the user manual. Nowhere on the product listing or the box does it say "btw you can't actually sustain the max temperature this thing is rated for." Feels pretty misleading tbh.
I get that there's a thermal cutout protecting the components, but then why advertise 275°C (527°F) at all? Just call it a 240°C (464°F) oven.
Anyway a couple of questions:
- **How do you work around it for pizza?** How do you guys deal with it if your oven does this too?
- Are there any freestanding ovens that actually sustain their max temp without this cutback?
Thanks
