Cording under breast?
4mo post-op. So about a week and a half ago, I noticed some tenderness in these areas on my ribs and then I felt these cord-like spots. They feel like tendons almost and are uncomfortable when I stretch my arms up, massage them, or lay on my side with my arm up.
I messaged my surgeon and they said it was scar tissue and to massage them. I wasn't 100% convinced and worried I would mess something up if they were some sort of anchor stitching. I had a panniculectomy (belly skin removal) at the same time and didn't know if they needed something so the pull of the abdominal skin didn't interfere with breast placement. Surgeon's PA said there were no anchor stitches mentioned in the notes.
I tried searching about it and all that came up was cording syndrome in the armpits and arms after mastectomies. It just seems weird to me that it's vertical and pulling to the bottom of my ribs in that area.
Anyone else experience this?
