Not understanding regular follow ups/visits - am I missing something?
Have 1-2 watch history at a few ADs in my area. And have a few more harder to get requested pieces on my list at each - Bruce Wayne, tiffany OP, etc.
I've been following up like the AD bible advises via email and text every couple months with each with occasional in store visits as well. But each time I feel like the ADs is thinking what the fuck else do you want me to tell you differently than I told you last time that "we don't know when these pieces will come, and when they become available we will call you." I felt awkward as shit when i showed up to one AD last week after texting them last month. AD was like "oh nice of you to come in. Was there something else you needed..?" And I'm like "no, just wanted to say hello and check in on my requests." I sounded like a fucking idiot. AD was like, well like I've told you, we don't have them available still and we don't know when they are coming. But we have your registry noted and will be in touch when they are available.
Like hearing all these bullshit stores from others who "pop in" to their ADs - like what the fuck do you say and talk about differently every few weeks that actually moves the needle?
