Will I get approved to rent based off of a temp-to-perm job?

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me chiming in here as a tenant.

I’m looking to apply at an apartment complex that uses Yardi to screen tenants. They claim they don’t make the decision and rather Yardi just gives the an answer.

I am trying to raise my income enough to qualify for an apartment. I have one steady job but it doesn’t put me at 3x the rent.

I’m looking for a second job and have been offered a temp-to-perm role that starts with a 4-5 month contract. The idea is that if successful, you then onboard as a full employee after that.

These two jobs together put me over 3x the rent.

But it occurred to me that only 4-5 months of guaranteed income might not be considered good enough?

Has anyone encountered this? How does Yardi account for that?

I’d appreciate any feedback. I’m in somewhat of a desperate situation and strongly prefer not to rent with roommates after some bad experiences.

Thank you!

Will I get approved for an apartment based off income from a temp-to-perm job?

Hi all, I really need to rent a place asap.

I have one main job that pays $48K. Monthly, $4K is nowhere near 3x the rent where I live (Massachusetts). It isn’t even twice the rent.

I’ve been offered a second job through a temp agency. It says “temp to perm.” There would be a 4-5 month contract with the goal of my onboarding as a full-fledged employee at the end.

This second job would bring in additional $2500 monthly, putting me in range to rent something.

BUT I realized, landlords may not truly look at this as guaranteed income.

The top place I want to live uses Yardi to screen tenants.

Do you think I’ll get approved?

I don’t want to turn this job down bc I have no idea if or when I’ll get another offer.

New here & feeling shell-shocked… please help!

41F here. I guess it’s my turn to enter this phase of life.

Everything was going along swimmingly until the last few months, pretty much starting on my 41st birthday, I noticed my boobs being pretty sore at random times during the month. I had just started iron supplements, which people say can also cause breast tenderness, so i chalked it up to that.

I discontinued iron two months ago though.

Now this last period has been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. My breasts became excruciatingly painful starting 5 days before. It’s only settling down 4 days into the period. Like I’ve actually been in agony.

I’ve also seen way more clots than I ever had before.

I guess this must be peri.

I know we’re all different but I’d appreciate any words of support or advice.

I’ve been recovering from a chronic illness and was still holding out hope that maybe I could still meet someone and have kids.

Maybe it was never a realistic thought but it seems like the chances are gone now. Especially bc I’m not totally recovered yet.

I’d really appreciate any and all advice. What can I expect? Are there any of these home testing kit things you’d recommend to try to figure out my ovarian reserve and fertility?

Thank you.
