Just got into create mod recently and have been loving Create: Power Grid. Here's a substation I made to step down the voltage to 2.4kV ready for distribution to a local area. The orange bulbs indicate when the substation is active and powered - like a warning. The green bulb is whether or not the substation is distributing received power (toggled via the MV switch).
And yes, getting that screenshot with the lightning mid strike was not easy
