Council houseing emergency
Some one know is being told to leave by there family and has been given 8 week deadline.
The local council have excepted a homeless duty
The person has loads evidence from memtel heath and mentel heath High scores
They also have ongoing dvt blood clot Thrombosis which fully blocked there veins and main artery in leg and has left permant damage which started in 2024 over 2 years which causes pain and swelling and can't use stairs
There mentel heath is so severe they can't be in lifts and they have panic disorder and agropohbia
Obviously they waiting in the medical advisors report which will probably put them in Band a emergency as they are a vulnerable adult
Thay have all Medical evidence which backs this on there Medical NHS files also letter from dvt specialist stating how bad there leg is and the impact on there daily life and they back a move into a hround floor flat
The person also has a family member that works colse by that cares for them daily 3 tones a day due to there mentel heath and mobity
My QESTION is how will the council go about this as the person needs a true ground floor flat with no stairs or lifts? And can't be placed out of there bourgh
as if they were to it would collapse there daily circle of care ie family carer who visits 3 times a day ,gp,hospital and mentrl health? As if to happen would cause la severe psychiatric crisis? And break the daily circle of care
They can't be placed in hostels or hotels as they normally have stairs and lifts and with there severe mentel health can't be around people or shared kitchen and stuff
Also the local rates don't cover the full rent for private rent each month
Are they expected to cover out of there PIP and lcwra money as that is for help with there mobility and mentel health
How would the council go about this seems like even temp accommodation would be hard to find let alone private rent to keep them in there area to fulfill there circle of daily care regarding there dvt and mentel health ?
