Hi, I'm a beginner with dip pens and I'd like to know 2 things about this video clip.

First: I know I'm pressing wayy​ too hard in this video, but how do I know exactly if I'm pressing too hard when I'm doing smaller strokes?

Second: I have multiple inks but this is the only one that doesn't seem to break the surface tension between the tines while writing. How do I make other inks not break the tension like this one? What makes it able to do this?

Also if anyone has any other tips I'd love to hear them! Thanks fellas.
