I am interested in potentially applying for the Connect 700 program and I had a couple of questions about the process. What does the typical turnaround time look like after submitting an initial application to know if it’s been approved and given a certificate? Also, once someone is approved for Connect 700, are HR and the hiring manager provided with any specific information about an individual’s eligibility for the program, or do they only receive the Proof of Eligibility Certificate?

I’ve been looking to apply for local government positions with cities throughout the metro area and was hoping to gain some insight into the interview process.

I have experience working for the State, and from my experience, the state’s interview process typically includes a panel interview conducted over video. Interview questions are usually provided ahead of time on the day of the interview, and the questions are primarily behavioral, along with at least one question related to DEI.

I’m wondering how the interview process for local government positions compares. If anyone has experience interviewing with cities in the metro area and can share what the format is like, the types of questions asked, or any advice, I’d really appreciate it.
