32 years old, kidney failure, and now having to sell my sports card collection
Hey everyone. I honestly never thought I’d be making a post like this, but life changed really fast over the last few weeks.
I’m 32 years old and was recently diagnosed with kidney failure. I’m now facing dialysis and eventually a transplant. The same week all of this happened, I also lost my job, so financially and mentally things have been extremely overwhelming.
One of the hardest parts for me personally is realizing I’m probably going to have to let go of a huge part of my sports card collection to help cover expenses. Collecting has been something I genuinely loved for years — ripping packs, grading cards, chasing prospects, building sets, all of it. A lot of these cards have memories attached to them, so it’s tough even thinking about moving them.
I made a GoFundMe because between medical costs, medications, travel, and everyday bills, things are getting difficult quickly. I hate asking for help, but I know I can’t do this completely alone.
Even if you can’t donate, a share or even just some support means a lot right now.
Thank you
