This plant had tipped over, permitting this unusual viewing angle, which I photographed in harder light than normal. This image felt organic to me but also totally abstracted from the subject matter. It can feel a contradictory to travel a long way to photograph something and then make images that aren't representative of it.
Anyway, I was trying to figure out what this photograph reminded me of, then the other day I was watching a movie and realized it's the space alien from the movie Nope, haha
