Driver front blinker
2021 Model Y, Long Range, USA (Midwest)
Good day! A while ago there was a minor accident and I had some damage to front end of my Model Y. I replaced the 'fog light', but also the headlight seemed to be like only half on, and the turn signal didn't work.
Fog light works fine now after replacement. I decided to try replacing the headlight. Bought a used on online and it came. Swapped it and NOTHING! No light, no blinker, dead - I do a reboot (pushing both buttons on steering wheel. I also "reinstalled software" No errors came up relating to the headlight, but I was getting a loud hum or fan sound from the new headlight, so I swapped my old one back in - still works (like mostly). So I start experimenting.
I swapped out both ballasts on the new headlight with my old one. It immediately turned on - no need to reboot or do the software reinstall. OK, cool, BUT the blinker still doesn't work.
What are the mother-Fu@#$ng chances that something was wrong with my old headlight blinker AND this new (used) one?? Astronomical, ya?? So I started experimenting... My old headlight, the new ballasts, both, one or the other, new headlight, my old ballasts.... nothing seemed to get the blinker to work.
Rear one works, side one works - just not the front one. I have rebooted, I have reistalled last updates, and every combination of swapping parts.... NOTHING.
OK reddit - help. :) ::heart emoji:: Thank you!
