Jobs over 60
Is anyone here working abroad and over 60? Where?

Hi, my partner and I thinking of moving from China to Hong Kong and am worried about cost of apartments. Our apartment in the mainland is pretty big, and cheap! I know we wouldn’t get that space in HK but spare all flats for about 20 k tiny? How much can a couple expect to pay for a decent size flat with two bedrooms? Do all flats just have single beds? (Looking at listings it’s seems mainly single beds). We don’t mind a commute, which is the best area to look?
For those of you who purchased property in Spain, how much did the lawyers fee come to in total? Including obtaining NIE and doing POA if you did this. I would be very grateful to get an idea of the usual total.
I recently bought a flat in Spain (Almeria) as an investment and possibly to live in later at some stage. I can’t afford to buy in my own country so I felt it was a good idea. However, I can’t live in it yet as I work abroad somewhere else. I’m Irish btw. So, I’m thinking of renting it out, I know it’s impossible to get tourist licenses and I don’t really want to go down that road anyway. I was thinking of renting it out on a medium/short term basis, like 9 months. Using an agency to get tenants and make contracts. I don’t expect to make a fortune from this but at least cover bills perhaps.
I’d love to hear any experiences of renting out property on this way.
Thanks
Does anyone have information about working in the English Language Centre. Is it competitive to get an interview/offer? What are the conditions?
Hi, I have noticed that some applications ask for expected salary. I have been to Hong Kong once, and know it’s expensive and also that jobs do not generally provide accommodation. However, I have no idea what to put as an expected salary.
I’m thinking about English language teaching roles, not professor. Not academies, but university language centres. Experienced, MA level, not phd.
Could anyone offer some ranges?
Is there an age limit for work visas for foreigners in Hong Kong like in mainland China?

Has anyone moved from China to Kazakhstan, and how do they compare?
I have lived in China for years, and considering the move.
