Tired of spells that wouldn’t work? Here, have something functional - a genuine healing spell
This spell, drawn with waterproof ink on a bandage, acts as magical stitches of sorts, holding wounds closed until they can either heal on their own or proper medical treatment can be administered. It will automatically wrap when applied and is self drying, but it ONLY works on slash wounds, with SOME effectiveness for puncture wounds. Remember, It can’t heal injuries, but it CAN stabilize them.
The inner central spell is what stabilizes the wound. Bind makes the spell stick to the skin while pull signs pull the wound shut and inverted crush signs partially realign the two halves of the wound. It won’t put things back together or repair the injury (see the spell “integration”), but it DOES help seal up the wound to slow bleeding. The glaives on the exterior of the center portion also help the spell to reach deeper into the body so the spell can pull the cleaved sub-dermal tissue back together as well.
Next, the outer center circle has strengthen and entwine signs that make the bandage more durable and help it automatically wrap around the wound for faster application.
Lastly, the two spells on the sides are drying spells that only work on tbe object they are drawn on (in this case, the bandage). This helps to promote clotting and keep the bandage too dry for bacteria to multiply in, all without drying up the wound itself, which would prevent healing and only make the injury worse.
When someone comes to you saying they’ve made some kind of magical miracle, don’t believe them. This is the kind of engineering and consideration it takes to make even ONE healing spell, and it doesn’t even fix anything, just makes it easier for your body to heal itself normally.
Magic is tricky. Don’t underestimate it.
