This is just a theoretical concept for how the vision and eye signs work, I think that the explanation with green would be the most fitting though.
It consumes the light around the spell and its environment, to then amply/expand it, and shoot it out as pure light, blinding anyone who sees it it all directions.. Most likely capable of burning our eyeballs.
Good for running away or just when you need to blind someone.
It may also (most likely) explode, I don't know about that part though.
Pointed hats could NEVER!
PS: I know there's probably many errors with the spell but I had fun making it.
I'm not affiliated with Brims or Pointed caps. I'm a neutral party. Enjoy.
Meant to be inscribed (repeatingly) along the leading edge of a board that is hung to the side of a cart, which is then drawn by horses
Forms small crystalline blades along that edge, and creates suction via airflow both against the blades and over the board, while rainflinger seals dry the wheat.
The result is a contraption which cuts wheat as you simply drive your cart along the edge of the crop row, leaving sheaves ready to be collected laying along the ground!
It does the Haber-Bosch process for production of ammonia fertilizer from natural gas (which can be sourced from a well or compost), steam, and air
I love casually increasing the world's population by an order of magnitude by making bread from air
Top seal pulls in wheat from the fields, which is then threshed against the grate by the wheel. This "breaks" the wheat, knocking loose the grain, which then falls through the grate, while the straw is output into a tray.
The loose grain is still mixed with chaff, so it falls through a wind tunnel which blows away the chaff (being much lighter than the grain), while the grain falls straight through and to some kind of container below
Tbf not sure if there’s any requirements for what an outfit would need, but im happy with this :3 also pronouns in the title as i am trans masc, and drew myself with feminine features to capture my likeness as i am pre-transition :) Just wanna make sure people address me correctly! ^^”
(Also wasn’t sure what flair to tag this with)
Me and my friend had this wonderful idea. What if a brimhat could inflict Silverwash Syndrome onto another witch? It would definitely cause many problems and make others dislike/distrust the victim. Here is a list of interpretations I compiled while creating this wonderful spell.
Inner circle:
•Light sigil - light is needed to see.
•Conceal seal - it is meant to hide or obscure something, in this case color
•Eye sigils - just an extra clarifier to what the spell affects.
2nd circle:
•Crystalize seals- this spell works by crystals forming in the eye to obscure colors from the victim.
Outer circle:
Repetition seal - to ensure the spell is constantly activated
Vision seal - similar to the eye sigils in the inner ring, just ment to clarify the affected area
Bind seal - to tie the spell to the person (on top of however the entire spell was applied)
Overall, this spell can be used on a person by carving or drawing it on them. When done, crystals will form in the eye that obscure the persons ability to perceive colors, similar to Silverwash Syndrome.
Hi all! I was inspired this morning to take a bunch of notes and put together what I thought might be a simple gender change spell!
Here's the theory behind it:
This feels a little too simple, but also would seem to have the effect I wanted given the information we have about spells in the moment. I also saw a lot of confusion around envelop also being used as a bend sign/sigil in the context of light. So I think there is room for the reflect sign to be replaced with a bend (as a play on "gender bent") to maybe get a similar effect.
Let me know what you think! I had some fun trying to figure this out and I hope you have some fun and inspiration with this too!
ok, Iguin slander will NOT be tolerated in this household, but genuinely what they even do:
-stands, sits, runs, floats
-stare into the distance
- even more staring into the distance
- said few ominous lines
-is a terrible gift-giver
-torments children's dreams
- failed at convincing one 12 yo to do something (just offer her candy idk)
- gets angry at coworkers
- performed TWO spells (first when meeting Coco, and >!how they turned Euini back into a human !<+ I only count the spells that we are sure they draw themselves ->! the one with Qifrey doesn't count, cuz it was a contraption with a safefail mechanism)!<
-is in an organization called "Brimhats" - FAILS AT EVEN THE DRESS CODE, get this liar AT LEAST a proper brimmed hat
please 🙏😭
I'm honestly curious how they got the respect of other Brims at all, for now they don't do anything that bad on screen/manga (like mr. the cat in the hat, for example) - all they pulling is "nuh-uh" *teleports*
behaving more like just a raving lunatic, locks in when Coco's name is mentioned 🤣
Disclaimer: this ALL is purely for meme purposes, do not think much about it ✌, If there's anything else you think is an obvious spoiler (ahead of anime) in this, let me know
(Ik it's sloppy)
INNER RING: The earth sigil is used to 'ground' the spell to the body, the diamonds make the spell affect everything in a certain radius and the enlarge increases the radius, the inverted crush sign repairs the body and the solidify sign makes it solid.
MIDDLE RING: bind makes the solidified flesh 'bind' back together-this adds feeling, blood, and other stuff back to the wound, the strengthen sign literally makes the spell stronger, the purify uses all the strengthen signs to allow it to remove germs, dirt, bacteria, etc..
OUTER RING: it literally js makes the spell stronger
you're supposed to draw it on yourself
The splotch under my pen was drawn there for dramatic effect for the photo LOL
Idk if its forbidden, what do yall think?
Just the spell that would be drawn on the brim istelf
1st ring i just Reversed the reduction spell into an expansion spell, and the window signs make it only apply to the object it was drawn on
2nd ring of expansion signs like a multiplication modifier, and the dispersion signs to expand the brim outwards instead of vertically
still figuring out how to make infinity, but closest thing i could think of are repetition circles around the 3rd ring to make the inner circles keep repeating themselves
(Full contraption diagram is a wip, (i have the mechanism and design figured out but drawing is a pain) spoilers is it involves an activation that can be turned on and off like the glowstone spell, and a floating pointy part so only the brim expands)
Magic is an incredible force. It can accomplish amazing things and eliminate countless hours of needless labor. The fact that the pointies hoard it for themselves and refuse to let it improve people's lives on a larger scale is a crime against humanity.
They hide behind the excuse of "the greater good," insisting that ordinary people can't be trusted with magic. To me, that's no different from billionaires claiming that regular people should stay in their lane while the rich handle all the wealth because they supposedly know what's best.
That's why I see the pointies and their supporters the same way I see billionaires and the people who defend them. Whether it's money or magic, it's the same mindset: keep an incredible resource in the hands of a privileged few and tell everyone else that the system exists for their own benefit.
It's the same kind of elitism you see in stories like Elysium. The people at the top convince themselves that they're the only ones capable of using their power responsibly, while everyone else is expected to accept whatever scraps they're given. The difference between them and the pointies is mostly optics.
