Finally done with her!

After about a month and a half of on and off working on her she's finally back to as close to pristine as I can get her. Wheel replaced, subframe replaced, and I spent a good two weeks chasing a steering angle code that was my fault! I wasn't paying attention when I reconnected the power steering to the steering column and it was roughly 700 degrees off center. My dumbass connected the wheel there after centering the steering rack thinking it was straight. I took the entire steering wheel and SCCM off driving myself mad looking for the problem only to realize it was a 10 minute fix. Oh well, I learned a lot and I feel confident as hell knowing I did this repair on my own. Originally quoted for the entire front suspension and the subframe was a 5000 dollar job and I got it done in my own time and for less than a 5th of the price. Today is a good day!

Progress on the Subframe

Been a second since the last post, but here we are! We got the bent subframe ripped out and put a new one in. Just had it aligned and replaced the wheel that cracked. I have to recalibrate the steering angle sensor, and clear a transmission fault code but we're just about finished. Feels good to have her on the road again!

Been a minute, but we're slowly getting her fixed! Bent subframe.

Posted here a while back about hitting an open manhole and bending the subframe. Luckily it looks like all the steering parts are straight, and all I need to do is replace the subframe. Just got the power steering off, and next we drop the subframe. Wish me luck!
