I’m not sure I believe the accused of sexual assault in this subreddit. What makes a sexual assault charge be public online?

Every sexual assault case I’ve read online (extensive research) as part of my job, they seem pretty cut and dry as far as the evidence being pretty damning against the accused. There are never scenarios I see on here with clear lying of the accuser. Why aren’t stories like yours public and in the news? It seems criminal sexual assault is extremely difficult to prosecute while everyone here makes it seem like it is easy.

Essentially it was a very crowded environment and I was bumped forward into someone. A girl comes from across the room and confronts me. She goes to tell other frat brothers. One of my frat brothers comes and takes me down to a room where I was asked what happened to which I denied groping the girl. They said there were other women who said I groped them the same party which is not possible since I only remember getting bumped into one person. They then said I needed to leave and would be reported to IFC. How to navigate situation where a bunch of people are under the impression I groped someone from one person who misinterpreted a situation but was vehemently confident it was intentional and essentially convinced the girl she was assaulted, creating an entirely fake scenario? I have evidence people have spread the false claim to my friends and extended circle, as well as potentially a past employer. Am I in danger of actual charges for something with a convinced witness and others believing the story?
