Need help with disconnect/ breaker
Upgraded my off grid cabin system last year to a 1.74kw array with new batteries and Outback inverter to go with the Outback Flexmax 80 charge controller. Recently I found my disconnect/ breaker to be tripping when the panels got full sun and the system hit 22amps. It was a 25 year old system so I’m finding out now that I had a 30amp AC breaker as the disconnect. I know enough to know that’s bad. Wanting to replace it right. I haven’t found any DC breakers that are plug and play with this box setup. What would you do if it was your home? I’m guessing I’m going to have to replace the box as well for whatever new disconnect I get. This box is inside, under a staircase with my inverter and charge controller. One consideration I have is possibly deleting this breaker if possible) and adding a quick disconnect off the ground mount. Thanks for any advice.
