I recently bought a Dewalt orbital sander from Acme tools. Used it for the first time today. While sanding, I noticed that it was only removing most of the material within the middle third of the 5” surface. The first picture shows what it looks like on a scrap piece of wood in two passes. When looking at the backing pad there is a noticeable bump in the center of the pad. This is causing the uneven sanding I would assume. The third picture is to show the dust accumulation in the center of the pad.

Has anyone encountered this before? How would I fix this? Or do I need to send this back for replacement?

I only have one 4amp kobalt battery and 8 dewalt batteries. I am undecided on which fan I should get.

They are an OEM dealer. I have bought thousands of $ of refurbished tools from CPO and it's good stuff but often missing the box. CPO has deal code 15OFF175 going for 15% off but it's only on select items and this isn't one Unfortunately. probably won't last long at $8 per Amp hour.

Took advantage of a recent Home Depot Deal; Buy a 9 Amp Flexvolt battery, pick a tool. I needed this guy to drill a 4inch hoie through stucco... Just in time for my birthday.

Best hammer drill between the two? Both are very close in price and need one eventually for side jobs to do at some point

Wondering what is the purpose for said pipes? Are they part of the oscillating tool or something else? And the same thing with the handle attachment on the right. Cant seem to find anything on the internet.

If your lucky and can find these I finally found them. 12 inch was 14 bucks and the 24 inch is 15. I was able to get a pair of the 12 inch. Home Depot

Can we get some more tools in action please? It's starting to feel like Groundhog Day around here. Needed to access the top of the fuel tank. Didn't want to drop it. Did a bed tilt.

The 512B cost $88.85 and the 503B cost $86.93. Auto working is probably the skill utilizing power tools that I am least comfortable with.

I will say that I'm not wild about the 1/2" anvil on the 512B, but I've read that it can be changed out.

As for the 12v line, I've got a few 12v tools now and my justification is I have a few things like a light and radio that are 12/20/60, and the 12v drill is a nice change of pace over my 1007. I always grab the 12v impact over my 860. Something about that 12v impact when it drills is a thing of beauty. It's like hypnotizing in a good way if that even makes sense. It's not too late to back out of the 12v ecosystem altogether (still within my 90 days), but I've gotten some seriously good deals on the 12v tools that I have.

Found this weed eater on FB marketplace near me, but it’s listed well under market value. This guy has a bunch of other dewalt stuff for sale under market value as well so it seems sketchy. I own a few dewalt things, but I’m not well versed on what to look for when it comes out knock offs or counterfeits.
