I have a Birdseye maple pen buddy (Tomo) available for sale. This is some amazing maple that has very intricate and beautiful grain. The pen tomo is build around A5 size notebooks. It holds three of your favorite pens and an area on top for inks or other small items. It’s fantastic for keeping your writing supplies conveniently organized so that your daily drivers are right at your fingertips.

The pen tomos are handmade by me. I use only the most beautiful wood I can find and finish it with all natural shellac - a fantastic finish that brings warmth and gloss to the wood.

After a fantastic time at the CA Pen Show back in February, I have a couple of items I didn’t get finished in time for the show. I’ve gone back and finished them and they are ready to ship.

Everything I make is hand made and I do my best to find rare and exotic woods. I am very careful about where I buy my exotic wood to make sure it is sourced ethically and sustainably. I use shellac to finish everything I make because of the deep warmth it brings to the wood and because it is 100% natural and nontoxic.

I have two pen buddies (Tomo) available. One is a beautiful Birdseye maple that has some of most delicate and intricate grain I’ve found. If you like lighter color woods, this would be absolutely perfect. $350

The other pen buddy is made of an exotic African wood called Bubinga. It is a very dense wood that has a deep red color. I rarely see this wood and the one I took to the show sold almost immediately. The grain pattern has a mild shimmer in the light. Honestly, I’m super tempted to keep this one for myself! $400

The last two items are cocobolo. This is a very rare wood from Central America and it is extremely hard to get because of export restrictions. It is an endangered tree and I bought this wood from someone that had a bunch of it from over 20 years ago. Due to the export restrictions, I cannot ship this outside of the United States.

As you can see from the pictures, it is a deep red with black swirls. This is one of two remaining pen trays I have. I have two pen rests that are ready to ship and 4-5 more that just need to be sanded and finished. The pen tray is $120 and the pen rests are $50
