








Cape did not apply referal code used during signup and support said they could not fix the issue
I tried to sign up with a referal code, I did everything right, but for some reason it did not get applied to my account. I noticed it when I was looking at my account settings after I finished setting up cape, and immediately contacted support. I even took a screenshot of where I put the code, and support confirmed that I put it in the correct spot. They claimed they could not apply the referal code after account creation.

This is really frustrating. I signed up today because of the referal program. I've had trouble with referals for other services so I was extremely careful to make sure to enter the referal code. Support confirmed that I did it right. And yet, it still didn't work and support did not fix it.
I feel very conflicted about this. On the one hand, I really am glad there is a cell service that takes privacy seriously. I've wanted to join for a while but cost prevented me, so I was really excited to be able to get the early adopter+referal rate which made it feasible for me. I read the ama with the ceo and he seems genuine. I really want to recomend cape to friends. But I don't feel good about recommending it because the price advertised with a referal may well not be true, and if for whatever reason the referal doesn't apply, they are shit outta luck.
Feel free to pm me for a referal code, I would appreciate you using mine to help lower my costs, but I don't feel right posting it in light of this issue.
