Im planning to do few trips in Japan, China, Taiwan and Singapore next year so I was checking laws to see how it works If I catch/buy something interesting there but it's really confusing.

I've seen about the CITES, something to have if it's a protected specie, or not sometimes, and to have even if the entire specie isn't written in it depending of the living creature ?

I live in France so if there's someone that have a experience and that know other things to avoid any problems I'm all ears !

I've tried to find careshit of this specie but could only find few informations and some that contradicted others :
I've found 20-22 degrees for temperature but also 22-25 degrees
Extremely territorial and the male will fight the female if kept together (like most dorcus ?)
Humidity around 60-80% ?
Can live up 2 to 3 years ?
Height around 6-11 centimeters ?"
They are nocturnal but can be seen during the day ?
Is the male like the a phalagrognatus and burry himself during the day close to the surface while the female is more deep ?

I have a lot of questions for their care, I welcome every help given !
