First experience for watching this drama
This is probably the first time I’ve ever truly fallen into an American TV series, and there’s drama both on-screen and off 🚬
When I found out that Charlotte’s actress, Kristin Davis, was dating Chris Noth in real life, I was completely stunned. Such an unexpected pairing, they feel worlds apart in the show. And then there’s Kim Cattrall, who reportedly fell out with the lead actress and executive producer Sarah Jessica Parker over salary and power dynamics, to the point that she refused to return for the SATC sequel series. Suddenly, the “female friendship as an eternal safe haven” that the show built up feels less convincing, and I’m left with very mixed feelings.
Why should I have to suffer because of this?
