We need to change the rules as no one can score /s
The CFL commissioner says scoring is a problem.
So far this season, there have been 889 points scored in 14 games, which is 63.5 points per game.
Sixty three and a half.
Basically, fans are trapped watching 1950s Italian soccer matches and begging for someone, anyone, to please score a point.
Thankfully, the league has cracked the code. Move the uprights. Shorten the field. Maybe next we can make it five downs, remove the defence, and have the quarterback start every drive at the 10 yard line.
The Argos would have had another touchdown on Friday if only the uprights were in the proper “grow the game” location. Attendance would double, TSN ratings would explode, and every 19 year old in Canada would immediately delete TikTok and buy season tickets.
Scoring was never the issue, but sure, let’s pretend the field and goalposts are why people aren’t watching.
