As a loyal client to Freepik, this Magnific merge has to be the worse thing in history
I have been using Freepik for a very long time. I always have a yearly subscription, time came around to renew. Due to budget and changes I decided to opt for the monthly payment plan.
There is no option to opt out of AI. I don't need all of that crap, I just want to download the stock images.
I decided to go for the essential since it was the cheapest option, it is incredibly unclear where the downloads of STOCK images is stated. Only if you scroll all the way down, past all the AI bullshit, its it clear how many you can download.
How can Freepik, that was already ruining their product with their AI push, completely give a fat finger to their loyal client base that was people using Freepik to download stock images.
I don't want AI. In an other thread it was stated that "due to a bug" there is no option to only have a subscription without AI. However they would "change" that. That was 2 months ago.
They don't care. All they want is money. Right now the stock images are also flooded with AI crap. I want my stock image base back, without AI. Yes I have turned on the "don't show me AI images"-button on. However, that doesn't seem to do anything. This is horrible, absolutely horrible.
Unfortunately I never found an other website that has as vast of a library as Freepik. So I am doomed to suffer. Hopefully there will be an other platform taking over Freepik and they crash and burn.
