Material/technique question from beginner
I've done my bit of crafting but never a full cosplay so I'd appreciate any tips on methods and materials.
My plan so far:
Make the headpiece and mask out of ABS sheets (don't have a 3d printer) and paint it with spray paint/paint markers for details.
The robe is loose enough that I think I'll be able to sew it from scratch, the one thing I'm not so sure about is the edge details, since they'd probably best be made somewhat solid to hold their shape properly, but I don't know what material/method I'd use there.
What I'm more unsure about is the shoes, since they'd have to be able to withstand walking. Do I just take a a pair of older/or cheap comfortable boots and make an outer shell out of ABS again or will ABS crack. What material would be best there?
