I EM verry new to propp aking and is now working on a cardboard prop with fabric covering the outside but the edges are ugly. Any tips. I have limited access to shit because I'm currently on a trip. My cizor won't realy cut close to the tip because it's shit. All I have is glue gun. Knives and random house hold items
Hey everyone! I just 3d printed this armor for my Doomsday costume for Halloween and I’m trying to find the best way to wear it. Should I use Velcro? Elastic straps? If so, does anyone know the best way to apply them?

Currently con crunching to finish a cosplay for my boyfriend, we’re going for a buff chiikawa look, similar to the needlefelt hachiware in image 3 (done by @choujishi on tt)
The muscle suit is all custom and complete as seen in image 1 (and better than I ever expected tbh) but issue is as you can see in image 2, my markings on the upholstery foam show through the morph suit.
We tried spray painting over them but as expected the foam is acting like a sponge and it’s doing absolutely nothing. I’m thinking I’ll have to go in with a layer of fabric over everything but thought I’d check here in case anyone has some insight.

So I’m getting my black parade drum major outfit for Band -o-Ween and I want to make sure the face paint won’t melt off because of the sweat and body heat what brands are good for this and what can I do to prep the make face paint stay on better
They’re leather, and obviously made for someone larger than me.
I tie them as tight as possible, but they still slip down. The shirt is 3/4 sleeve too, which doesn’t help the grip.
Any advice (even on the rest of the costume) is wanted!
Hey, I'm a complete beginner at crossdressing, and I'm starting with Violet Evergarden, and I wanted some advice because I feel like my shoulders are too prominent, which is actually a personal insecurity. Are there ways to "get around" this? Besides makeup. I'm open to any advice, but I feel that whether it turns out well or bad varies A LOT, even if you put it on the same way or not. I'm 16 years old and 161 cm tall. I don't know if this happens because of the way I take photos at the time, but I'm open to any advice :D

Hi! I am a part of a club on my campus that provides us with costumes of disney princesses. In preparation for my first upcoming event I was wondering if anyone was familiar with cleaning stench out of ballgown armpits/ pieces that can’t just be put into the washing machine. Also can foundation stains be removed from the inner bodice? Any tips can help, I generally don’t want to be hugging children while smelling musty lol. Another thing is I was keen on ordering a corset expander for the dress as the zipper component doesn’t zip all the way up. Would that be a good alternative/would it be hidden? Attached is an image that shows the thickness, material, and the zipper/corset problem in the back!

Im 13 and trying to make yujis full arm gauntlet from jjk to wear to school (maybe cosplaying can be a hobbie if it turns out good) but honestly I am completely clueless on what to do or where to even start. And I fear I might be too late to do anything.
I already tried to sew the glove part for the first time and it was solid red and I tried to hot glue those bumps on the hand but it look really messy. the moment I moved my hand the seams completely pulled apart.
the biggest thing is it HAS to be flexible. it needs to go from my hands to my forearm but i need to be able to move my fingers and arms freely so i can open my locker and write at school. and nothing too comfortable where it looks loose or baggy, I want it to look tight and right like his arm actually does.

So I’m still a beginner when it comes to wig styling but I do have a decent amount of experience and knowledge of some methods.
I’ve recently had a family friend ask me if I’d be interested in making her daughter’s wig for Halloween as she’s going as Lily Lovebraid from Poppy Playtime. I accepted as she said she’ll pay me for it.
The supplies alone cost me $45 which I thankful had the other supplies that I needed already. The wig is going to be a helmet wig with wire in the braids as to make it able to bend it and easier to store. I’m also using the tights method for the braids to keep it lightweight.
So a bit of stuff I haven’t done before. Therefore I don’t know how long it will take me to make it. Which is my main concern as I don’t want to ask for a crazy amount if there’s gonna be any mess ups or mistakes. Other issue is the family friend said she was just gonna give me the wig back after Halloween so she’s basically paying me to make a whole wig to rent I guess???
I’ve talked to both my partner and his mom (as it’s her friend) and they’ve told me to do it per hour but previous concern still stands. I do have another wig that I’ve agree with them before to charge around $230-300 if I were to be commissioned for it but with this one they’re saying around $100-120 (not including materials). I want to ask here to ask get some more insight about how much I should do it for.
So I bought this Wolverine cosplay a year ago and I was wanting to wear it for Halloween but looking at it there seems to be fabric separation from the underlying structure. I was wondering if anyone had a fix for this without undoing the stitching or resewing. And help would be awesome!
This halloween Im planning to dress as Severen from Near Dark. My game plan so far is to take a Freddy Krueger mask and cut it up and repaint it to make facial prosthetics. Where Im stuck is how to handle the large forehead gash and wig.
My initial thought was to try to use as much of the mask as possible as sort of a bald cap, and sculpt the gash with liquid latex and then glue the wig on.
Any advice or if someone has a better suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
