I had two claims in the last policy year (one at-fault, one not my fault) and I’m a bit anxious my policy won’t be renewed. I’m planning to take out a new policy two months before my current NRMA policy ends with a start date of one month later so there’ll be an overlap of one month with both policies.

I’m hoping this will allow me to “beat” the arrival of the non-renewal notice for this year at least so I don’t have to declare it or deal with it until the following year.

Has anyone here received a non-renewal really early or know someone who has? If it turns out that my insurer does renew the policy then I’ll keep which one is cheaper as there’s usually a 30 day cooling off period.
