In one of the posts about Metin2 Lore I shared with you that in the Korean version of the game Ape Lord is named 제천대성, but the term is derived from the Chinese term 齊天大聖 , which means a „Great Sage equal to the Heavens”. It is Sun Wukong title 🙈.
While researching the topic, I also found other translations that do not match our European version of the game.
9Tails -> 구미호 -> Gumiho (it is monster from Korean mythology https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumiho)
Lykos -> 견신 -> Dog God
Scrofa ->저신 -> Pig God
Bera -> 웅신 -> Bear God
Tigris -> 호신 -> Tiger God
Dark Leader -> 밀교교주 ->Leader of esoteric Buddhism
Bestial Captain -> 비류단대장 -> Biryu group captain
Cung-Mok ->푸른 두목 늑대 청목 -> Blue Wolf Leader Cheongmok
Mu-rang -> 회색 두목 늑대 무랑 -> Gray Wolves Leader Murang
Jug-Hyul -> 붉은 멧돼지 적혈 ->Red Boar Jeoghyeol
I translated it with the help of a native Korean speaker, so it should be correct.
If one looks closely at the translations, one will notice that Lykos, Bera, Scrofa and Tigris are written in... LATIN! I have no idea why someone came up with such a stupid idea...
Someone will ask, so what?
Well, as you can see, we lost at least 2 characters from Korean mythology in the game (Sun Wukong & Gumiho). Mini-bosses from 1st city were completely ignored and treated like regular mobs :(
I will soon explain why these Gods and Dark Leader make sense.

I know that this topic is not of interest to 90% of people who play Metin, but I hope it will interest the remaining 10%.
