CSA is preventable if they really wanted it to be

I've known about the ARC regarding unreported CSA for some time now, and I was recently watching some clips of the videos with Geoffrey Jackson in it and I remembered something that took place a few years back. For some context, there's this guy (I'd wager he's in his 70s) in my kingdom hall who clearly has some child-like mentality problems and wasn't really in the right headspace for his age. I'll dub him as Mike for the sake of the story.

Now the thing about Mike, who's a brother to an elder by the way, always had a particular interest in the girls even though he could be somebody's grandpa. And not just any girls, the minors. He would often make comments on my growing body, how I'm "developing nicely", and other weird statements. At any JW party, he'd look for me at the dance floor and come up behind me to grab me in by the waist and absolutely insist that I dance with him. It got so bad to the point that me, my sister, and my cousin (all PIMO and around the same age) would deliberately look over our shoulders anytime we were around a large group of JWs for fear of him pulling one of his stunts. Eventually, my sister and I spoke to my dad (an ELDER btw) and mom about it in fervor, telling them everything we had discussed and how uncomfortable he made us, and all they said was "you know he has mental issues, and he's __'s brother" like that was supposed to justify it. They did nothing to change how Mike behaved and pretended our words were never even spoken.

Luckily for us, we changed kingdom halls before things could get worse, but a part of me wonders how things might have escalated if we stayed. Goes to show that they'll even ignore the warning signs just to protect each other's images. The fault would have lied in their hands of either of their daughters got sexually assaulted.

they taking my money now..

i (PIMO) dont know if this is just in my region or congregation now, but they started up "mandatory" monthly donations to the borg. I put that in quotations marks because it's obviously not like they'll force you, but you'll be frowned upon if you don't. The elder said that it was a part of being a servant to Jehovah, and I think they're also trying to pay off some sort of debt. Idk, they can take my entire childhood but I draw the line at my money
