GSX-8R luggage options
TL;DR does anyone have good luggage recommendations for the GSX-8R with original tail tidy? Or maybe even experience with the Shad SH23 on this bike?
I have had my 2024 GSX-8R for a little over 2 years now. It's my first bike (took my driving tests on an Yamaha XJ6) and I really love it, but I'm struggling a little with luggage. Especially when going on longer (overnight) trips.
I have tried some options already:
- Tank bag: does not fit a lot, gets in my way while riding and is annoying while fueling
- Tail bag: fits more, but gets in my way while getting on (I'm quite short) and I have to take it off when arriving somewhere
Because of that I think I would also struggle with the top case and I also think it doesn't look good on the bike.
I have been eyeing the Shad SH23 side cases, because they're not too big and relatively affordable (around €300 including the mounts). I'm a bit worried whether these will fit with the Suzuki tail tidy (https://www.suzuki.nl/motoren/accessoirekiezer/styling/99980-25810-lph-kentekenplaathouder-gsx-8s8r/) and then especially the indicators.
I would prefer to get something with a hard shell and lockable, so I can leave it on the bike and have my hands free when going for a bite or paying at a gas station, etc.
