What’s going on with my tattoo?
For context, I’ve had this tattoo for well over a year now, I believe it’s coming up on two years in a month. I have never had issues with it, the healing process went great and I never use any harsh products on it. i.e. No scented lotions, perfumes, oils etc.
Yesterday while showering, I noticed tiny bumps had formed around some parts of the design, directly on top of the lines of the tattoo. I can’t post pics because nothing is visibly wrong with it, no inflammation and the bumps aren’t red, but they’re itchy upon touch. They otherwise don’t bother me.
What could it possibly be and has anyone else experienced this? It’s a tattoo of a butterfly and the bumps are perfectly following the pattern of the wings and nothing else. The only logical thing I can think of is that I recently took some immunosuppressant pills due to an autoimmune disease I have, but I have taken these pills once before since getting the tattoo and this had never happened.
Any advice or input would be great.
