Guatemala - Volcán de Fuego - worth it?

I am planning a trip to Guatemala for October (based around a friend’s wedding). I for sure want to do Tikal and have about a week in total.

I heard the volcano is both incredible and incredibly touristy - would love to know if people think it’s worth it or if it’s just a little too full of other travellers to really enjoy the experience.

Also would love tips on other things not to miss especially if it was something you felt surprised by / was a little off the beaten track :)

Jërëjëf! My trip to St Louis / Senegal…

Jërëjëf! My trip to St Louis / Senegal…

I just wanted to share this amazing trip to Senegal and to encourage any travellers who are considering making the trip to absolutely put it on their list.

I was able to go during the St Louis jazz festival and it was extraordinary. The music was insanely good and the whole city was full of art and poetry and little pop up bands, too.

Everywhere I went I was welcomed so warmly by people, and I learnt this wonderful Wolof word - Teranga. This word is all about hospitality, generosity and warmth, and that’s exactly how it felt to be there.

Some photos here from this incredible place!
