Once every couple of weeks we find a yellow jacket in our house. Yesterday we found this European hornet. They are always walking slowly on the floor, never flying, and are extremely docile and easy to kill.

I'm very confused why we keep getting one here and there. And why they are so sluggish. We had a couple of yellow jacket nests in our attic last year and had pest control come out and spray which seemed to do the trick.
