In today’s episode of “For the Love of the Game”, we’ll convert a 3135 to a 3175. 16700 Franken is finally complete.

1680 Pre-Production Run

Gearing up for some 1675s and 1680s. Last night I put this one together. I’ll get gen spec inserts for the rest of them. Dry run to see what other parts I need to order in bulk. I’ll add better photos later today. Planning on doing red subs but I had this MQ dial laying around so that’s what this one got. These will have the optional no quickset feature and two position setting lever just like genuine, or the standard 2824-2 setup like inside this one.

BP base reshaped and polished. Sillan dial and hands aged lightly. Sillan bezel assembly complete. Sillan crown. Pressure tested and ready for the weekend. Comes on NATO strap as shown shipped in a Yellowhammer travel case. Ships FedEx on my dime. $600 PayPal F&F.

Never gonna find a nicer bluesy dial than this one. Threw up in my mouth when the customer told me what it cost him. Gen dial, hands, crystal, date, crown, crystal and bezel insert. Sillan case with drilled lugs.

Clearing out space in my parts trays bore this one. BP 16610 case (the kind with the click ball bezel) reshaped. I lost the bezel guts a while ago so I swapped in a Sillan retainer ring and bezel. Works great and passed pressure testing but there’s the tiniest gap as seen in the second photo where the retainer hits some lip on the rehaut somewhere. I could swap the old ones back on but the bezel would be bidirectional, and I don’t care enough 😂. Sillan dial and hands aged with pip to match.

Music is obnoxiously loud and the bench is a disaster area. Delivery room is busy. Cases printed. If you need me don’t need me 😂
