Free Chinese reading app stories matched to the words you actually know

If you've done months of flashcards and still can't read anything,

this is the gap Hanzi Dojo tries to close.

You learn words with FSRS spaced repetition. Then the app hands you

stories built from the words you already know, each one labelled

with the % of its vocabulary you've learned before you open it. No

hunting for material at your level, no dictionary marathon, no wall

of text you're not ready for.

Tap any character to hear it, see it, and add it to your deck. Every

line has audio and a translation one tap away. 200+ graded stories,

illustrated comics, chat-format stories, multi-chapter serials that

follow the same characters as you level up. HSK 1–6, works offline.

No streaks, no leagues, no guilt counter. Miss a week and the

schedule just catches up.

Free, no ads, nothing to buy. Try it at hanzi-dojo.com.

I'm also putting it on Google Play and need ~15 Android testers for

Google's 14-day closed test, DM me your Gmail if you want in.

Made a free Japanese app so I didn’t need flashcards, reading, and a tutor in 3 separate apps

tired of needing 3 different apps just to study flashcards here, reading there, some tutor bot somewhere else? made one that just does all three in one place, no gimmicks. it’s free.

uses FSRS (like Anki) for the flashcards, plus short stories built from words you’ve actually learned so reviews turn into real reading instead of just tapping through cards.
