I’ve been in town for a couple months and haven't had much luck meeting people or finding things to do — be it classes, clubs to join, or really anything at all. I’ve gone to Facebook like some people suggested but have had no luck there, either. Though it’s definitely more active than the Reddit is, what groups or events I find are typically dead or hours away. It seriously sucks 😅

I’m 25, neurodivergent, queer, and don’t drink or smoke anything. I collect rocks, love hiking, and hope to be a published author one day. If you know of any local groups or events I might like, pleaseeee let me know. I’m also down to be mutuals with anyone of similar age/interests. I can DM my insta or FB to anyone who wants it

(as a side note, I am going to the book fair this Sunday, as well as OMG!con next month, but those are the only local events I’ve found so far)

If anybody is looking for a part time job in town, the GNC by the movie theater is urgently hiring. I heard both part time employees left due to family emergencies, so now the manager is the only one working the store

I asked about it and the requirements are just 18+, and either cash handling experience or basic knowledge about vitamins/proteins

Hours vary between 15-30 a week. Shifts are either 9:45am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-7:15pm, or open to close twice a week (9:45am-7:15pm)
