I am currently being managed conservatively with pain killers I am on six different ones now, physio was too sore but I am slowly managing to do the MC Gill big three exercises daily now.Inhad nerve root injections for weeks ago that made everything worse and I am off sick from work I am a nurse,39 with a four year old child Sitting is agony the only thing that helps is walking.I have been in agony since December,I took 2.weeks off in February and prior to going off sick after the nerve injections I haven't been off I just kept going constantly at work on long shifts never sitting down. Now I am off sick I am being very careful and minimising BLT,going for walks.I have been waking up at 4am in so much pain I have to get up for the day and walk around but the GP has switched my analgesia around and yesterday I managed to sleep until 7am the first time for six weeks. Realistically does anyone think this can heal conservatively? or so I need an operation
I have a huge disc bulge compressing my nerve roots and I am on agony. This has been on going six e December,no injury causes it that I know of I suddenly felt pain getting out of my car.I have been too sore for physio,I cannot sit at all, only thing that helps is walking.Somehow I managed to stay at work I am 39 and a nurse on a busy ward working long shifts,I have a four year old child.Inhad 2 weeks off sick in February,I then had nerve root injections a month ago and since then the pain has been so much worse.I am now on six analgesics and I think maybe it is easing a bit but I have spent the last four weeks off at home taking it easy and avoiding bending or lifting or twisting no house work etc.I am just worried that I am going to take months and months off drop to half pay/no pay and it still won't be healed. My physio and the spinal surgeon she works with who saw my MRI are both confidential that this will heal by itself with no surgery.I just wanted some opinions
On going sciatica since December, nothing is working I cannot sit I cannot sleep I struggle to drive. The GP has signed me off for a month at work,I am 39 I have a four year old and I am a nurse and normally very active.I had nerve injections 8 days ago which were so painful and the first few days I felt less pain but since then the pain and radicular pain has ramped up and I am in agony from around 3am until the evening and I end up getting out of bed pacing around the house.I am on four painkillers naproxen, co-codamol, high dose amitriptyline and now I have been started on pregabalin.imI cannot understand why I am not getting better and why my pain is getting worst. My physio thinks the big disc bulge I have which is compressing the nerve roots will heal over time by itself but I think we are past all the conservative management and I think I need surgery.I am in so much pain this morning I think I might have to go to a&e.Has anyone else been in a similar situation? I cannot imagine how I will have to wait up to 18 weeks for an operation 😭
Brought these in a size 6 and I normally wear a size 7
They felt done at the time but I feel now that my toe is almost sticking out on my bugger foot-right and I am worried I will stub it on something.I.am thinking of sizing up half a size, what does everyone think?
