Are they ever going to add more cbs affiliates to the genre packs?

I live in Indianapolis and CBS is still not included in genre packs here. The confusing thing is our local Fox is included even though it’s owned by the same company as our local CBS. The genre packs have been out for nearly two years now so it seems like they would’ve had a chance at this point.

Sharp pain above knee

Tuesday evening around 7 pm I stood up from my desk after work, took a few steps, and felt a sharp pain above my left knee to the outer side, where I pointed out in one of the attached images. It hurt for several long seconds, went away, and came back for several more long seconds after a few more steps, and then I didn’t really feel it rest of the night. If I pressed on the area right above knee where I think the pain is at I believe I can feel the pain slightly from pressing. Even today if I press on that area in my quadriceps right above knee I think I can feel a bit of pain, although at this point it might just be from touching that area so much this week lol. I was pretty perplexed as I hadn’t had an injury or anything I can think of. The feeling almost felt like something wanted to pop or get a release but wouldn’t. That’s the best way I can describe it.

Wednesday I really didn’t feel it all day except that evening mildly for a brief moment walking around.

Thursday I didn’t feel it all day and even went on a long walk outside no issues. It did randomly return Thursday night and actually lasted longer than it originally did on Tuesday when it first showed up.

Friday was the worst day, the sharp pain was on and off several times throughout day. Toward Friday evening behind my knee had become sore and stiff when walking or straightening leg.

Saturday I just laid around and didn’t have any sharp pain but did have that same soreness or stiffness behind knee all day.

Today is Sunday and the soreness behind knee seems to have gotten a bit better but is still there. I did have a very brief second of the sharp pain in the same spot earlier walking around the house but thankfully it went away quickly.

The only thing we can come up with that I might have done is last weekend before this happened I drove to Cleveland for a funeral, which is about 6 hours each way. I drove for the entirety of the trip and so my left leg was sort of bent in the same position for a long time in driver seat. we got home Sunday evening and the issue didn’t occur until Tuesday evening so doesn’t make a ton of sense but that’s the only theory I’ve got right now.

The images are from today Sunday and I do think the left knee is a bit swollen compared to the other knee but it’s hard to tell and not as bad as a lot of images I’m seeing online.

I’m going to give it a full week and then get an MRI done and see an orthopedic doctor. I’ve used radiologyassist before and can get an mri done at a local imaging center for around $300 out of pocket, but for now I’m gonna save the money and see if it goes away after 1-2 weeks.

Does anyone have any idea what might be going on or if you’ve experienced something similar? It really doesn’t seem like meniscus or anything major based on what I’m reading online and seems more like a muscle got pulled somehow, but i just don’t know how it happened as I never had an injury I can think of.

Is there seriously no profiles?

Just got a subscription to AMC plus yesterday as part of my DirecTV plan. It seems everyone in household must share one profile. Surely I’m mistaken since it’s 2026 and even most free streaming services have profiles.

Side note, It’s also cracking me up that they don’t have the walking dead or breaking bad, AMC’s two most popular shows of all time. Glad I’m not paying extra for this service.

AMC Plus

I started a separate thread earlier today and it seems there’s a lot of confusion surrounding AMC Plus for those of us who get it as part of the MyEntertainment genre pack.

It seems many people believe you just get access to AMC Plus content within the DirecTV app. This is NOT true. You do get a subscription to the standalone AMC plus app. After signing up for MyEntertainment, DirecTV and AMC don’t email you any information regarding AMC plus or how to access it, which is where the confusion is coming from.

To access your AMC plus subscription, download the AMC plus app on your devices and when signing in there is an option to sign in with tv provider. From there you will select DirecTV and enter your DirectTV credentials. You will then be able to access your subscription within the AMC app. I discovered this on my own and none of this info was provided by DirecTV or AMC.

Something myself and other users have discovered is that some devices don’t yet have DirecTV listed as an option when logging into the standalone AMC plus app. For example on my iPhone 17 it isn’t an option when logging in. Other users have stated they can’t log in on firestick as well. I was able to log in with a firestick so that one might just depend on the version of firestick you have.

Anyway, I hope this provided some clarity. If you are paying for MyEntertainment, then you have a subscription to the AMC plus standalone app and you deserve to be able to use it!

MyEntertainment Genre Pack

Just signed up for MyEntertainment. Already got an email from hbo max with a link to activate. During check out process it said I would get an email shortly after checkout from Disney to activate Disney plus and Hulu. But AMC plus was not mentioned in the final checkout screens and I haven’t gotten any email from them. How do you activate your AMC Plus subscription? Did I get swindled? I see there’s a live AMC Plus channel in my guide now but I was obviously expecting to get access to their streaming app.

Anyone know why there’s this little blue dot left behind whenever killing an AMP?

I’ve played something like 50 hours and always noticed this blue dot on the corpse of AMP suits after defeating them. Anyone know what it is? You can’t interact with it at all. I do have the skill where you get spare parts from defeated AMP suits so that’s not related. I believe it’s there on every AMP corpse and it looks like an item to loot but there’s nothing actually there to loot. I play on Xbox.

Is it just me or is the rewind/fast forward on DirecTV the worst of any streaming app?

It’s hard to put your finger on exactly what is wrong with it, but I swear they’ve somehow made the worst ff/rewind of any streaming app. Even free apps like Tubi work better for ff/rewind. No matter what we try it seems like you can never just easily rewind a scene and land remotely close to where you want. Same with fast forward. Additionally if a show/movie starts over on accident and you want to fast forward 30 minutes plus, you will be sitting there for 5-10 minutes waiting on it to fast forward, even at max speed. My girlfriend has made similar comments about it before I even mentioned it to her so I know it’s not just me. It doesn’t matter if it’s a live event or on demand.

I have DirecTV stream and it’s the same on fire stick, Roku, Samsung frame, basically any device we have. I used to have YouTube tv and their ff/rewind worked great so I know it’s possible and every other app we have works great, even the free ones.

The other issue is on 99% of steaming apps, using the left and right buttons on your remote will ff/rewind, but on DirecTV stream it changes the channel. I can see why they thought that would be useful but we’ve accidentally changed the channel so many times when we simply were trying to rewind a scene. This is especially problematic on devices that don’t have traditional ff/rewind buttons, like the Samsung frame remote.

Have they ever considered dropping the DirecTV name?

This is sort of a random post/thought but I’m 30 and have been on the DirecTV MySports plan since it came out. I’m now on the grandfathered version that still has the cable news channels. I’ve just stayed on the grandfathered version instead of switching to the new cheaper MySports plan because my elderly father uses my login to watch CNN and MSNOW basically 24/7. It’s not that much more money per month and I also like having the major news channels once in a while when something major is happening in the world.

Anyway, it fits the niche for someone my age who basically only needs cable channels for sports and watches pretty much everything else on steaming services. Most of my buddies my age have YouTube TV, which I did have prior to MySports coming out. For me DirecTV beats them in basically every way: 4K included for free, less restrictions about account sharing, MLB Network, NHL Network, etc. I feel like really any way you look at it they’ve got YouTube TV beat, but most people my age still go with YouTube TV. I think no matter how much better DirecTV is, their name is never going to attract younger people.

I’ve had a couple friends who have YouTube TV ask me “oh is that a contract” or “is that satellite” when I’ve told them I have DirecTV. I know right now at least according to Google they still have a bit more subscribers than YouTube TV (11 million versus 10 million) but I don’t know how long that could last when almost everyone under the age of probably 45 seems to go with YouTube TV. The other thing that’s kind of crazy to me is DirecTV had about a year plus head start on every other service when it came to skinnier genre plans and it still doesn’t seem like it attracted that many younger people.

MLB Big Inning

Is anyone familiar with MLB Big Inning that airs on MLB network most nights of the week? I really love it and throw it on in the background any night when I see it on. But it seems so hard to predict when it will be on. I’m watching it right now on MLB Network but when I scroll ahead in the guide it doesn’t look like it’s on tomorrow or the next day on either MLB network or MLB network alternate feed. However if you google the official Big Inning schedule that MLB posts on their own site it shows it will be on tomorrow and the next day. Does anyone know how to watch it when it’s on but not showing on MLB Network?

I don’t have MLB.TV. I don’t care enough during regular season to pay for that but I like putting Big Inning on in the evening in the background as it is similar to the NFL Red Zone format and is just easy to have on in the background.
