So a couple of weeks ago I was going through my cases and stumbled upon this bad boy. I remember being at a trade night about 6-7 months ago and someone asking my price and I think at the time I had it stickered at $40 or so(which I’m glad they didn’t take it because I comped it after they walked away and it was way underpriced by me by $40, I think it was like $70-$80 value lol).
Well fast forward to last week, I seen that this dude had absolutely been CRUSHING IT as a rookie, putting up absolutely insane stats(even if he wasn’t a rookie, if he was a 2nd year player or a 10 year vet, the numbers he’s putting up hasn’t been done in a long time for the organization so he’s definitely the most talked about, atleast ONE of the most talked about players as of late rookie or not). Sorry for the rant, just this dude is a freaking stud and the real deal!
I checked comps last week and my $30-$50 investment, I’m guessing I pulled this out of a blaster or mega possibly, I’m up $320+ or I think that’s like 700%-800%(I’m valuing it around PSA 9 comps). Would y’all hold this and ride it out? I know a lot of people would say now is the time to sell, considering his market is crazy right now and at an all time high if I had to guess. But then again, I’m a collector. A true collector and honestly don’t care to sell and profit right now, so maybe I’m answering my own question lol but this was more of a post to ask everyone here… What is your best investment you’ve ever made on a card? Based off what you paid, what you sold it for or even what you could sell it for right now and multiply your initial investment by however much.
