Wanted to get feedback/thoughts on how fast I can downsize this little guy. I wasn’t able to repot this season but I want to get it downsized asap as I move into the ramification/refinement process. Currently its in a gallon pot. The pot on the left is obviously shorter but I think it holds about 2/3 - 3/4 the amount of soil due to its width. If I repot into that next spring, is that aggressive enough to get it into the bonsai pot the following spring? Would you use a smaller intermediate pot? Should there be two intermediate pots? Thanks for sharing what you know!
