DIM supplements helped me keep my weight under control
So I finally got diagnosed this year, and I have been on DIM for years already because of hormonal issues.
My Lipedema started when I got on Birth Control, and when I quit I suddenly stopped gaining weight that fast. I gained 35 kg in just 4 years while on birth control. It was insane. While not changing much about my lifestyle.
I read online how fat cells can produce a lot of bad estrogen making it harder to lose weight but also cause acne, hair loss and other problems.
So I decided to use DIM to flush out the bad estrogen and it makes my body less inflamed. But also keeps my weight in check. I have not gained weight in 5 years! Which is huge! But unfortunately have not found a way to lose it just yet.
I didn't realise how this might be a solution for others who might have an estrogen dominance with bad estrogen and how this might even help with controlling the endless swelling and gaining weight from Lipedema.
Also very angry at the doctor who prescribed me birth control and kept giving me heavier pills because I kept bleeding through. They did NOT test me at all and when I quit they even refused to cooperate for me to get something non-hormonal. I am now on a copper IUD. BEST choice ever.
