Charity / thrift shops

Hello, are there any charity / thrift shops in Livorno? I’ve tried searching online but can’t find anything. Happy to travel to the outskirts.

Tricky Florence visitors!

We’re visiting Florence in Wednesday 3rd June, arriving / departing by train to / from Livorno.

We are a group of 3 - one doesn’t like crowds and will not queue for anything over 20 mins, plus kind of anti religion and doesn’t like rules (I think long trousers in churches will be an issue!). Second is 11 year old boy who gets fed up just walking around but is open to the wonder of new places. Third is me, who loves a city break and seeing new places, I have no qualms about being a “tourist” (unlike number one, who doesn’t like touristy things).

First question I suppose - is there any point in us even going??

If so, any ideas of how we can take in the city without getting stuck in hoards of tourists? I haven’t booked any of the big sights so am resigning myself to not going inside Duomo, Uffizi etc.

Would also love some “where the locals eat” food recommendations - the more authentic the better.

TIA!

Gym for visitors

Hi! I am staying in Livorno for three days, near the port. I would like to use a gym while I am there - is there a gym I can access without membership?
